This webinar brings together examples of how different organisations in France and Croatia collaborate with various groups to help fight against waste crime.
Amélie Frey, Head of the International Relations Group, with OCLAESP (French Gendarmerie Nationale) gives examples of how the French Gendarmerie organises its specialised unit in order to work with other administrations agents, and to cooperate with other public and private partners in order to enhance the effectiveness of investigations The role of each actor in detecting and proving offences is presented. Moreover, we focus on each step where cooperation can be utilised.
Known investigations are presented, focusing on national and international cooperation and the added value of using national and international networks. We will also share experiences in relation to the difficulties met and how we solved them.
Dominik Kozary, Senior Advisor with Customs in Croatia illustrates how inter-agency collaboration is organised in Croatia at the legal and practical level from a Customs perspective. An overview is provided of the organizations involved in inspections of transboundary movements of waste and how their work is laid down in inspection plans.
