Involved in Fighting Waste Crime?
Are you interested in Receiving Best Practice Training?

Looking to gain vital up-to-date information on how to better prevent, detect, investigate and prosecute waste trafficking?  If you work with an agency or organisation directly involved in fighting waste crime, DOTCOM Waste would like to invite you to apply to participate in one of our free training workshops.

Our 4-day workshops will bring together actors from all stages of the enforcement cycle to participate in a mixture of lectures, practical case studies, open sessions and a study visit, and are a composition of best practices covering:

  • Legislative landscape
  • Waste classification and problematic waste streams
  • Illegal shipments
  • Intelligence
  • Inspection and Detection
  • Next Generation Compliance
  • Investigation
  • Prosecution
  • Sentencing
  • Interagency collaboration and networking

Targeting a mixture of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, customs, port authorities and environmental agencies, these workshops will take place in Rome, Italy, from 26 to 29 September 2017 (focusing on EU / West Africa Routes) and Beijing, China, from 17 to 20 October 2017 (focusing on EU / China Routes).

Attendance is free, but on an invitation-only basis, limited to 25 participants. Training will be delivered in English. Even if you can’t attend or don’t get selected, register anyway, and we’ll give you FREE ACCESS to our online training toolkit when it launches later this year.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. APPLICANTS WILL BE INFORMED OF THEIR SUCCESS IN SELECTION SHORTLY.
