Using Remote Sensing Technologies When Fighting Illegal Waste Crime

On: 22 May 2017

At: 1pm (BST) 2pm (CEST)

This webinar describes technological developments in satellite technologies, demonstrating how they are now more relevant to environmental enforcement officials, lawyers and judges.

We discuss the relevance of satellite data in legal investigations as evidence, and its ability to be successfully used in the courts.

In addition, we evaluate some of the existing satellite monitoring programmes and their impacts, and discuss two ongoing projects looking at their use in detecting waste crime.
